I am excited to propose a unique art workshop series at Trinity Episcopal Church, Statesboro, designed to welcome participants of all ages and skill levels. These workshops will foster creativity, community, and spiritual reflection by exploring mixed media art through the lens of our shared faith.

Art is for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just curious, this workshop will meet you where you are-helping each participant express their faith and personal story through accessible, playful art-making. Together, we’ll transform everyday materials and cherished objects into meaningful works of art that celebrate our spiritual journeys.

All Ages & Abilities Welcome: Classes are designed to be inclusive, engaging children, teens, adults, and seniors alike.

Flexible Scheduling: I will work with the parish to find the best times and spaces-whether in a church classroom, the parish hall, or even outdoors under the pavilion for plein air painting. My availability is adaptable, and currently we have decided to meet on Friday evenings 5-7pm.

Faith-Centered Creativity: Each session will weave together art techniques and faith-based reflection, encouraging participants to find spiritual meaning in their creations.

Discover:
Learn to see the sacred in the everyday by exploring the hidden stories and spiritual significance of found objects.

Create:
Experiment with materials like fabric swatches, cardboard, paint, and personal mementos. Transform these items into unique artworks-canvases, totems, or collages that reflect your faith and life experiences.

Connect:
Share your creations and the stories behind them in a supportive, faith-filled community. Group discussions and collaborative activities will help deepen our connections to each other and to our faith.

Play:
Enjoy creative exercises-like walking meditations, outdoor art-making, and playful group activities-that spark joy and imagination.

Object Collection: Bring items from home that have personal or spiritual meaning.

Art-Making: Use collected materials to create mixed media pieces that tell your story.

Story Sharing: Discuss the inspiration behind your work and how it relates to your faith.

Community Building: Participate in group projects, art games, and shared snacks to build fellowship.

The Teaching Artist Workshop fee is $50 per participant per month paid with the options below.

Additionally, some participants have expressed a willingness to pay up to $75, which can help support those in need and cover any additional costs towards supplies, & space. Please memo your payment for your month, & if it is more than $50 you can label what your donation is for.
