Part 2 of Documentary 1

This is a film giving tribute to my grandfather who is a veteran of War War II and The Korean War. I recreated this film into an installation piece for my personal artwork. This footage was collected by the National Archives Association and uplifted by Bland Cleesattle (my aunt) and Betty Rehberg who is head of the Vintage Albany Facebook page.
I recently found the original footage with sound, be sure to read the detailed description of the work on YouTube. The link is below
Found 25 November 2019

This video collage installation is a combination of random found videos, received archival footage from the National Archives, and a Youtube video with sound. The inspiration of the making of the installation and recreation of the footage is from the "Chickasaw Memories" video of life of Bob and Mimi Newcomb which is also on my YouTube channel. The installation has footage from the randomly found footage and is made into an abstract form of art within an installation of cameras from the time period that my grandfather Bob Newcomb would have been using cameras. This would not have been possible without Bland Newcomb and Bettty Rehberg. Bob Newcomb's "Flying Installation Recording" and Dead Reckoning

Fluid
This piece is meant to be placed to float or face the sky. Floating brings to life that anything can float if enough of the substance has enough air in it. Just as anything can be made everything requires water to be made. By having the piece facing the sky it can be noted that the sky is the limit. Nothing here on earth is to be taken for granted but it is important to remember no matter if the moon is our limit there is something above us and to be mindful that wherever we are we can find something to take advantage of. The pieces of styrofoam are being taken advantage of because it is being pulled by the wood, its chemicals allowing it to float, paint seeps into it differently, and it is different than any other material on the planet. It will never ever disappear. All of these materials are found in dumpsters and are considered trash.
